Still no plans slated for Zellers store in city

The Hudson’s Bay Company said it is still reviewing its options for the Zellers stores not acquired by Target.

The Hudson’s Bay Company said it is still reviewing its options for the Zellers stores not acquired by Target.

“The Williams Lake store continues to operate business as usual,” Tiffany Bourré, external communications manager for Hudson Bay Company, told the Tribune.

A flyer included in newspapers last weekend announced closing out sales and indicated that consumers could check out the Zeller’s website for a list of stores that are slated to close. In British Columbia the list of stores closing are located in Dawson Creek, Prince Rupert, and Penticton.  A total of 50 stores have been identified on the Zeller’s website in Alberta, Nova Scotia, BC, Nfld., Que, NB, Sask., with Ontario taking seeing the most stores closed at 26. With the exception of Amherst, NS, which will close on June 23, all of the others will close on June 2.
