Paving of South lakeside Drive has begun, and is anticipated to continue until the middle of next week, the city said Friday.
Once paving is complete, a number of final tasks will be performed, including line painting and cleanup.
During paving operations, the public is advised to expect longer than usual delays, the city said in a press release, adding the city appreciates motorists’ patience.
The project, which began in July, required a number of tasks to be completed, including removing and replacing the material under the road surface, construction of retaining walls, and installation of concrete islands and electrical infrastructure.
When the project is complete, there will be two eastbound lanes from Hodgson Road to Pioneer Drive, as well as a pedestrian/bike lane extending to the Cariboo Adventist Academy.
