An update on remedial action at the Slumber Lodge was provided at the latest city Williams Lake City Council meeting.
Council received a report noting the property owners at 27 Seventh Ave. South have complied with a remedial order. Council directed staff to notify the owners of compliance and appreciation for their co-operation.
Terry Fox Run approved
City council approved the Terry Fox five-kilomtre and 10-km walk, run, or bike for Sunday, Sept. 16.
Work to community garden starts Saturday
City council authorized the licence of occupation agreement with the Child Development Centre for a community garden on the boulevard of Carson Drive, south of Williams Lake Secondary School.
The Food Policy Council is hosting a ground-breaking volunteer work day on Saturday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At that time, 40 raised garden beds and a section of a fence will be built.
The next regular council meeting won’t be held until Tuesday, Aug. 21.
