Williams Lake RCMP confirm one life was lost in a single vehicle incident at Cariboo Lake, east of Williams Lake last weekend (June 24-25).
Cpl. Brett Squire said no criminality is suspected in the death of the lone female occupant.
The woman’s vehicle was discovered Sunday morning, June 25, in the lake which is situated along the gravel road. An RCMP dive team assisted with recovery.
Cariboo Lake is located north east of Likely on the Keithley/Yanks Peak Road.
The matter is now in the hands of the BC Coroners Service.
