During a press conference in Williams Lake Tuesday hosted by Mining Watch Canada, Quesnel Lake’s Skeed Borkowski who owns the Northern Lights Lodge and Resort brought in two used water filters and an unused one to show the difference. Borkowski said before the Mount Polley Mine tailings impoundment breach he changed his water filters twice a year. Now he is changing them every two weeks. He gets his water from Quesnel Lake and said he used to drink it.
