A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Williams Lake Thursday, July 6.
Environment Canada notes conditions are favourable of severe thunderstorms that may produce strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
It is presently 27 C in Williams Lake.
As of 4 p.m. the skies are partly cloudy.
B.C.’s Ministry of Environment air quality health index rating is 3, which falls within the low risk.
