Several vehicles and items were stolen some time Thursday

The UBC Alex Fraser Research Forest is asking for the public's assistance after several vehicles were stolen from its Seventh Avenue South compound in Williams Lake Thursday night.

Stolen were a blue Polaris Ice, a red Honda quad, a 1996 green Toyota Tacoma with University of British Columbia lettering on the side, a 2000 green Toyota Tundra and thousands of dollars worth of funnel traps for beetles.

In addition to the items posted, four summer tires were stolen for the Tundra, and each truck had lots of work equipment in it, some of which will be irreplaceable to its users.

"Any help would be greatly appreciated," a staff member said.

The public is asked to please keep your eyes open, and report to the Williams Lake RCMP if anyone sees or knows of anything.
