The Williams Lake RCMP have released new information as they continue to seek the public’s assistance in locating 20 year old, Eddie William.

William is high risk as he functions at the level of a 12-year-old due to a variety of mental health issues and requires medication on a daily basis, the RCMP said.

He attended his school at Thompson Rivers University and reportedly left at noon on Nov. 21, 2012. When William failed to meet his care aid worker at 5 p.m. the police and Search and Rescue were notified.

Police have confirmed that William was last seen near Walmart at 1:30 p.m. and then observed in the Roberts Drive and Dog Creek area at 5pm last night. RCMP have also learned that William may be in the company of individuals involved in the drug trade.

The police are extremely concerned for his safety and well being as Eddie is easily manipulated but is also known to become confused and violent without his prescribed medication.

William is described as:

5’10

Black hair

Brown eyes

May be wearing glasses

Last seen wearing blue jeans and a grey sweater

Williams Lake Search and Rescue are continuing their search efforts throughout the Williams Lake area including rural properties as WILLIAM is known to walk great distances and enjoys the outdoors. RCMP are asking all property owners to search any outbuildings or sheds in their area as WILLIAM may have found shelter overnight.

Anyone with information about his location is asked to call the Williams Lake RCMP Detachment at 250-392-6211 or call 9-1-1.
