Rest time at 4-H Show and Sale

At the end of a long hot day of feeding, watering and showing their animals and other projects Sunday, Aug. 14, 4-H Club members participating in the 58th annual Williams Lake and District 4-H Show and Sale had a little time to rest and relax before the evening activities.

The 4-H Club members and adult volunteers are responsible for keeping the Williams Lake Stockyards grounds, washrooms and other facilities clean during the show and sale which started with setting up displays on Wednesday, Aug. 10 and wraps up today, Monday, Aug. 15 with the sale in the evening.

Each evening members and volunteers participated in various other activities.

The club presidents and leaders held their meetings on Thursday evening.

Friday night members were treated to a night at the community pool, games and pizza.

Saturday night the beef sections of judging continued in the evening.

Sunday night a dance and games night with pizza was held.

Today the show and sale wraps up with meeting buyers in the afternoon, the parade of champions at 5:30 p.m. followed by the sale 6:30 p.m.
