The Ashcroft RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing female.

RCMP say Suzie Duguay, 37, was traveling from Vancouver to Williams Lake.

On Aug. 23 police located her black Mazda vehicle bearing Alberta licence plate BBR7827 parked at the Ashcroft Hospital located on Highway 97 C. She was last seen walking away from her parked vehicle near the hospital towards the highway at approximately 10:45 p.m.

She was expected to arrive in Williams Lake on Aug. 24 but never arrived.

Family and friends have not heard from Duguay and are hoping someone may know of her whereabouts.

Duguay is described as a caucasian female, being five feet tall and 111 pounds, having black hair and brown eyes. She also speaks French and English. Police say she also has a tattoo of a tribal whale on her hip.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen Duguay hitchhiking or walking along Highway 97 C to please call the Ashcroft RCMP Detachment at 250-453-2216. If you would like to remain anonymous please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
