RCMP arrest one suspect after home was struck by a bullet in Williams Lake

The house was occupied at the time, but no one was injured

One person has been arrested after a home was struck by a bullet early Thursday in Williams Lake.

Cpl. Madonna Saunderson with North District RCMP media relations said at 1:20 a.m. Aug. 30, a Williams Lake resident reported that their house had been struck by a bullet.

Saunderson said the home, located in the 300 Block of Ninth Avenue, was occupied at the time and thankfully no one was injured.

Investigation to date suggests there were two males responsible.

One male has been identified and has been arrested by the RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone who may have information on this matter is asked to call the Williams Lake RCMP at 250 392-6211 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222-8477.
