Random attack sends one to hospital

A 34-year-old male was sent to hospital with head injuries after being randomly attacked while walking downtown in Williams Lake Wednesday.

A 34-year-old male was sent to hospital with head injuries after being randomly attacked while walking downtown in Williams Lake early Wednesday morning.

According to Staff Sgt. Del Byron, the incident took place at about 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the Cariboo Regional District on Third Avenue.

Byron said the man was walking home when he was jumped by two or three males.

The suspects are described as wearing blue and black hoodies. They ran toward 7-Eleven convenience store following the assault.

Byron said the police are investigating and continue to look through video footage from the area to obtain further information about the suspects.
