People are reminded to keep out of the areas where active logging is taking place above Hamel Road in Williams Lake.

Williams Lake resident Joe Hamel is alerting the public of active logging taking place near his property behind Hamel Road above Broadway Avenue South.

The logging started on Tuesday, he said, noting people are walking right past the “active logging” signs and ignoring them.

“There was even a woman and her five-year-old son right near a buncher yesterday,” he said.

Hamel also continues to see mountain bikers coming through his property, even though the City erected a sign asking users to “refrain from further use” of the trail.
