The Sam Ketcham Pool in the Cariboo Memorial Complex will be undergoing an unscheduled shutdown effective June 30 at 6 p.m.
It will be closed to investigate and address water loss in the main pool tank.
The fitness centre will open for regular hours on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. But the teaching pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room will be unavailable during the length of the shutdown. Swim lessons scheduled on July 4 will also be cancelled.
The City expects the closure to last at least three weeks, but it may be longer as there is no date for re-opening the pool. The regularly scheduled shutdown for the pool from Aug. 29 to Sept. 17 will be cancelled.
