Williams Lake RCMP seized a quantity of crack cocaine, a truck and arrested two individuals following an investigation into drug activity in the 300 block of Ninth Ave. North earlier this week.

According to Cpl. Jason Pole of the Williams Lake RCMP General Investigation Unit, police are recommending a charge of possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking against a 56-year-old man and a charge of possession of crack cocaine against a 49-year-old woman.

Pole said the two were arrested at about 8 p.m. Wednesday.

“It was part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity in that area,” Pole said of the arrests.

As well as the crack cocaine, Pole said other unknown substances were seized that have been sent away for testing.

Police also seized a truck as part of the investigation.
