Police search for suspect in armed robbery of beer and wine store

Williams Lake RCMP have released an image of a suspect they say committed an armed robbery of a local liquor store this week.

Const. Andrew Waters said police responded to an armed robbery at the Overlander Beer and Wine Store at 1118 Lakeview Crescent in Williams Lake at about 10: 19 p.m.

“The lone occupant produced a weapon and demanded money before fleeing the location,” Waters said, not revealing what type of weapon was used in the crime.

“The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’5 to 5’7 in height, medium build, wearing a black hoodie and dark backpack.
