Police are continuing their efforts to locate federal offender Barrie Quirt Friesen

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Friesen Jan. 10 2012 after he failed to report from jail to his assigned community-based residential facility in Kamloops to serve his remaining sentence in the community.  Friesen is a prolific offender with more than 88 previous convictions.

Friesen has used a number of different aliases since his disappearance and made several attempts to take financial advantage of others. He has a history of taking vehicles without consent and driving impaired, among a number of other offences.

Police are asking that anyone who may have been in contact with this man or received any suspicious or threatening calls for money to report the information immediately. Friesen does have a history of violence and should not be approached.

He is described as being Caucasian, 5'9" , 177 pounds, has brown /grey hair, and blue eyes.

Friesen also has tattoos which go around each wrist like a bracelet: "Katrina" and "City of Angels" on the left wrist, panther on the right upper arm, and dagger and snake on his right forearm.
