Pepper and Hannah are back in the loving arms of their owners.
Alice and Neil Tresierra's two dogs had been stolen — along with their pickup truck — from the parking lot of Aberdeen Mall on Saturday, March 5.
The Williams Lake couple was reunited with their pooches on Tuesday (March 8) afternoon.
Tiffany Bishop, the Tresierras' daughter, who lives in Kamloops, said she received a call from the BCSPCA at about 1:30 p.m.
"They said that a lady in Logan Lake had picked up these dogs and had heard through the grapevine that this truck had been stolen," she said.
Pepper, an eight-year-old shih tzu, and Hannah, a four-year-old Maltese-poodle, were discovered outside a Logan Lake hotel, sitting together in the travel kennel in which they had been stolen.
Bishop said the dogs were left outside overnight before being discovered by a hotel worker on Tuesday morning.
After receiving the call, Bishop called her parents — who were in Clinton, on the way back to Williams Lake after a doctor's appointment in Kelowna — and told them the good news.
Then she and her sister-in-law drove to Logan Lake to fetch the pair of pups.
"They were very happy to see us," Bishop said.
Then it was back to Kamloops, where Pepper and Hannah were reunited with the Tresierras.
"They were just bouncing along," Bishop said — describing the dogs.
"It was great. The most important thing is back."
While the dogs have been found, the Tresierras' truck is still missing.
It is described as a light brown three-quarter-ton Dodge with a canopy, bearing B.C. license plate 9602YY.
