The Chilcotin Rod and Gun Club Wild Game Dinner and Auction, held at Alexis Creek on Saturday was well-attended, and yielded one of the largest ever profits for the club.
The event was attended by 75 adults, including a few Williams Lake residents, and 20 children. Slim Brecknock played his traditional role as auctioneer. Various local people donated wild game for the main meal.
The successful bidder for the rodeo image (above), auctioned as a photo-plaque, was Jordan Grier who was in the photo (background, second from right). In the foreground, the rider on the bucking bronco is Garrett Madley, BC Rodeo Association 2010 Finals Saddle Bronc champion, and his pickup rider, Leland Jasper.
