Participants of the Dirty Laundry Campaign were treated to delicious snacks and many accolades at city hall Wednesday evening.

Hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association - Cariboo Chilcotin Branch, the gathering was intended to celebrate the recent provincial recognition the campaign received for its work in promoting a racism-free community.

“It really opened my eyes and it opened up a place inside me that was locked up,” said participant Nya Wan. “This campaign was my heart- it was wonderful.”

Those in attendance vowed to keep up the positive work to make the community one that embraces diversity.
