One person arrested after stabbing at 7-Eleven Friday

The RCMP were called to a stabbing inside the 7-Eleven Food Store on Proctor Street in Williams Lake Friday evening.

RCMP were called to a stabbing Friday evening at 7-Eleven in Williams Lake.

The RCMP were called to a stabbing inside the 7-Eleven Food Store on Proctor Street in Williams Lake Friday evening.

Police were notified at 9:36 p.m. of the incident.

When they arrived at the store, they located a 24-year-old female victim who had sustained a substantial cut to her hand from the stabbing, Staff Sgt. Del Byron said Monday, adding the victim was known to the offender.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court, Byron said.
