No injuries in Highway 20 roll over

A patch of ice on a shady spot of the highway could have caused a single vehicle accident on Highway 20 near Pablo Creek Road.

On Nov. 30, Williams Lake RCMP received a 911 call around 2 p.m. reporting a single vehicle had rolled over.

When RCMP members attended the scene they learned the driver came into a shaded corner and hit ice.

“The vehicle went across the yellow line and hit the opposite ditch, at which point it spun and then flipped onto its roof,” said Sgt. Rick LeBeuf.

Ambulance and rescue services attended, but no one was injured, although the road was very icy, LeBeuf added.
