School District 27 this week announced the appointment of a new principal for the Naghtaneqed Elementary/Junior Secondary School.
Norma Macdonald has been appointed as temporary principal at the school for the 2016-17 school year, beginning Aug. 17.
In announcing the appointment, the district board said that Norma brings a wide range of experience to the position including her most recent experience as teacher at the Tl’etinqox School on the Anaham Reserve and serving as the Principal/teacher at the Yunesit’in School in Hanceville.
“I wish her well in this new appointment,” SD 27 Superintendent of Schools Mark Thiessen said in announcing the appointment.
