A presentation coming up at the Scout Island Nature Centre Tuesday evening will take participants on an armchair adventure through the jungles of Malaysian Borneo.

Rob Higgins, Thompson Rivers University biology professor and Williams Lake Field Naturalist director, spent two weeks in Malaysian Borneo last summer.  He and 50  other insect specialists scoured the jungle near the Danum Conservation Area, the largest intact region of lowland rainforest remaining in Southeast Asia.

In this presentation, Higgins shares his adventures, brushing back scorpions and hiking through jungle to collect some of the most bizarre and fascinating ants in the world.

The presentation takes place at the Scout Island Nature House, Tues. Feb. 22, 7:30 p.m..
