Cariboo Prince George MP Todd Doherty is inviting everyone to a community town hall he will be hosting in Williams Lake on Thursday, June 28.
Doherty will be at Thompson Rivers University Williams Lake Campus on Western Avenue from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
“I’m coming through the region holding the town halls this week,” Doherty told the Tribune. “We start off in Vanderhoof on Tuesday, then to Prince George Tuesday night. We will be in Quesnel on Wednesday and Williams Lake Thursday.”
He’d planned similar meetings last summer but because of the wildfires they did not happen.
“I’m hoping people will come out to meet with me face-to-face for a brief update on what we have been doing and I want to hear any of their concerns.”
Doherty’s private member’s bill calling for a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder framework passed third reading in the Senate.

Accompanying Doherty for the town hall will be two members of his team from Ottawa and his assistant from Prince George.
Doherty will stay on for the Stampede Friday and Saturday, but won’t be at the Stampede on Sunday or Monday because he is travelling to Merritt, B.C. to celebrate his grandmother, Anna Miller’s 100th birthday.
“She’s as sharp as a whip,”I he said of his grandmother.
