One driver was taken into an ambulance after a collision on Mackenzie Avenue Wednesday morning.

The B.C. Ambulance, RCMP and fire department responded to a collision near 240 Mackenzie Avenue around 11:15 a.m. in Williams Lake Wednesday.

A beige 2000 Honda Odyssey van travelling north, stopped to legally parallel park, when it was rear ended by a grey 1999 Ford pickup truck.

While the truck received damage to its front end, the van's rear window was shattered and the rear end severely damaged. Both vehicles had to be towed from the collision scene.
