A missing Abbotsford teen has been found safe with her mom in Williams Lake.

Abbotsford Police issued a plea earlier this week to help locate 15-year-old Celine Lynn Johnny, who resides in a home operated by a charitable society. She had failed to return from meeting a relative at a local mall, but did not notify anyone of her whereabouts.

Sgt. Casey Vinet said police have learned that Johnny spent a few days with her aunt before making her way to Williams Lake. RCMP in that area came across Johnny when checking at her mom’s home.

Police had been concerned because Johnny has medical needs that include having to carry an EpiPen for allergic reactions and an inhaler, and they wanted reassurances that she was OK.
