Metis Nation of B.C, Esketemc First Nation receive New Prosperity mine participant funding

The Metis Nation of British Columbia and Esketemc First Nation have received CEAA participant funding for the New Prosperity.

The Metis Nation of British Columbia and Esketemc First Nation have received participant funding to participate in the Canadian Environmental Assessment for the New Prosperity gold-copper mine project under the aboriginal funding envelope.

The Metis Nation of B.C. will receive $19,000 and the Esketemc First Nation, $27,800.

The latter was the only application received for the aboriginal funding envelope, while the Metis Nation of B.C.’s application was transferred from the regular funding allocation.
