Mayor Walt Cobb and CRD Chair Al Richmond are in Prince George attending the Premier’s BC Natural Resources Forum.

Mayor Walt Cobb and CRD Chair Al Richmond are in Prince George attending the Premier’s BC Natural Resources Forum taking place until Thursday, Jan. 22.

“I already have tentative meetings set up with the B.C. Business Council as well as Resource Works BC,” Cobb told council as it approved his travel at last week’s council meeting.

The forum, now in its 12th year, provides delegates with an opportunity to talk about the future of B.C’s natural resource industries.

“It will bring together the resource sector, service and supply businesses, government, First Nations, and non-profit initiatives in a discussion on how to further grow natural resource industries that respect, sustain, and improve our communities,” Premier Christy Clark said.
