Man tries to break into Liquor Store in Williams Lake

The Williams Lake RCMP received a complaint that a lone male was trying to break into the government Liquor Store at 730 Oliver St.

Just before midnight on Friday, June 22, the Williams Lake RCMP received a complaint that a lone male was trying to break into the government Liquor Store at 730 Oliver St.

Police say the witness provided a very good description of the suspect who had broken a pane of glass to the store. Police attended to the area and located a man who fit the suspect description.

As the police attempted to speak to this man, he fled on foot. After a brief foot chase, the suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

The man will appear in court at a later date.
