On Sunday, July 3, Daniel John Napesis was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and obstruction.
The Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Service arrested Napesis near 150 Mile House.
He was deemed “suspicious” walking near a construction zone in 150 Mile House. Following his arrest, RCMP found a 2011 Ford pickup parked on the shoulder of the highway without licence plates on it. It’s alleged the truck was stolen from a dealership in Mission and the licence plate, located in the box of the pick up, was stolen from a car in the Lower Mainland.
Napesis, from Hythe, Alta, has been remanded in custody. The RCMP continue their investigation.
