Male robbed at knife point in Williams Lake

A male was robbed at knife point in Williams Lake Wednesday evening.

A suspect has been arrested after a male was robbed at knife point in Williams Lake Wednesday evening.

The Williams Lake RCMP say that on July 11, at about 8:20 p.m., a male victim was in the parking lot at the Greyhound Bus Depot when he was approached by an adult male who was brandishing a knife.

The suspect demanded money from the victim and, after receiving a few other personal items from the victim, the suspect fled on foot.

Police attended and, after speaking with several witnesses, located and arrested the suspect later in the evening.

The suspect is presently in custody and the RCMP will be requesting that he be charged with robbery and be remanded in custody as he is presently charged for robbery earlier this year from another jurisdiction in B.C.
