Lightning strikes tree in Williams Lake

The Williams Lake Fire Department responded to a call from a resident that lightning struck a tree in the woods behind his home.

The Williams Lake Fire Department responded to a call from a resident that lightning struck a tree in the woods behind his home in the 1300 block of 11th Avenue North Thursday afternoon. By the time crews arrived there was no fire; however, they dug around the tree to ensure there were no hot spots.
