Lakecity man recovering in hospital following suspected assault

A 25-year-old Williams Lake man is recovering in Kamloops after suffering head injuries from what the RCMP believe was an assault.

A 25-year-old Williams Lake man is recovering at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops after suffering head injuries from what the RCMP believe was an assault.

The man was taken to Cariboo Memorial Hospital after being found unconscious in his home on Thursday, March 13.

“Witnesses advised the male was located at 11:10 a.m. in his Williams Lake residence,” Sgt. Rick LeBeuf noted in a press release.

“The witnesses called the ambulance who transported the male to the hospital.”

LeBeuf said Monday if the man’s condition  continues to improve he will be transported back to Williams Lake in the next few days.

Suspects have not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
