UPDATE: Highway 97 is back open.
ORIGINAL: Highway 97, 14 km south of 70 Mile House, is closed after a vehicle incident at Meadow Lake Road Monday afternoon.
According to one witness who drove around the crash before emergency responders arrived, the incident involved two motorcycles, both pulling trailers. The bikes and their trailers were upside down in the ditch and no other vehicles appeared to be involved.
An assessment is underway according to Drive BC, but they are unable to determine when the highway will reopen at this time.
No detour is currently available.
