Highway 20 crash claims life of lone occupant

A crash on Highway 20 west of Williams Lake near the former LORAN-C site Saturday claimed the life of the 42-year-old male driver.

A single vehicle crash on Highway 20 west of Williams Lake Saturday, near the former LORAN-C site, has claimed the life of a 42-year-old man.

On July 2, at 4:36 a.m. the Williams Lake RCMP received a report of a single vehicle roll over. Officers attended the scene and located a single SUV that had rolled.

The only occupant, a 42 year old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene."The cause of the accident is still under investigation; speed and alcohol are being considered as contributing factors," the RCMP said. No further information is being released by the RCMP at this time.
