An adult male and female are facing numerous charges after an illiicit drug and gun seizure Monday, Oct. 24, in Williams Lake.
While executing a search warrant in the 600 block of Carson Drive., the Williams Lake RCMP general duty and general investigation sections seized 11 firearms and multiple loaded magazines of various calibre, the RCMP said.
Various types of illicit drugs, believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana were also seized, as well as a large sum of money believed to be crime-related, the RCMP said.
"The illicit sales of drugs and unauthorized possession of firearms are the priority of the detachment to enhance community safety," Williams Lake RCMP Insp. Jeff Pelley said. "Individuals responsible for these actions will continue to be targeted by police and held fully accountable through the court system. This investigation is a testament to the police officers of these units who worked long vigorous shifts to make this investigation a success."
