The long-awaited gaming grant review promised by Premier Christy Clark will be in Williams Lake Aug. 18.The review will visit 14 communities across the province during August and September.Clark appointed Skip Triplett as the independent reviewer of the province’s gaming grant process.The Community Gaming Grant Review will examine the role of government in allocating gaming revenue with input from charities, community members, industry representatives and local government.It is a intended to review and provide options for existing legislation governing community gaming grant funding, funding formula, criteria/eligibility for community gaming grants, processes involved wth applying for and receiving community gaming grants, a multi-year funding model and the future role of government in community gaming grants. The forum in Williams Lake will be held Aug. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Complex. Submissions will also be accepted via the gaming grant website, by e-mail, fax or mail. Triplett’s final report is due Oct. 31.
