The Cariboo Fire Centre is conducting a FireSmart campaign throughout different parts of the fire centre region.
The campaign began on Saturday and will continue throughout the next two weeks, as long as weather conditions do not impact availability of staff.
Personnel will be delivering FireSmart manuals and information for residents on how to reduce the risk to their property and home in the event of a wildfire.
Within the FireSmart manuals, residents will find a home and site hazard assessment checklist, which will assist in determining what steps can be taken to help protect their homes from the hazards of wildfires.
