The Williams Lake Fire Department will host its annual open house on Sunday, May 6.
The city says the whole family can come meet the members of their local fire department, enjoy a hot dog barbecue, check out the fire trucks and the fire hall, and learn about safety in the Safety House. There will also be other games and activities at the event, beginning at 10 a.m.
At noon, firefighters from the Williams Lake department and other regional departments will compete in the firefighter challenge.
The firefighters will also wash cars in their famous “rinse cycle.”
