The Williams Lake volunteer fire department responded and extinguished a chimney fire at a log home in the 1800 block of South Lakeside Drive Tuesday, after receiving calls from people who could see the flames coming from the chimney. The steep and icy driveway presented a bit of challenge, however, crews were up to the task.

Fire Chief Des Webster said there was no damage to the home, however, the chimney will have to be inspected before it can be used again.
