One person is dead following a motor vehicle collision north of Williams Lake at about 7:30 a.m. this morning.
A northbound tractor trailer crossed over the centre line into the southbound lane and collided head on with a Dodge pickup truck on Highway 97 just south of the Macalister overpass.
The passenger in the pickup was in critical condition at the scene and was taken by ambulance to Cariboo Memorial Hospital where he passed away.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
