One person has died following a single motor vehicle collision in Lac La Hache Monday afternoon.
At 2:50 p.m. the 100 Mile House RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 97, two kilometres north of Wright Station Road.
The Lac La Hache Fire Department and 100 Mile House Fire Rescue also attended to assist with the collision.
The female driver of the 2001 Dodge Caravan was deceased at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
The vehicle had gone off the highway and down a steep embankment before overturning.
The highway was closed for a brief period while emergency personnel were responding to the incident.
Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the cause of this collision. The 100 MIle House RCMP Cariboo Regional Traffic Services Unit and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the cause of the collision.
