A grocery store employee escaped injury, after trying to apprehend three shoplifters at the Wholesale Club in Williams Lake.
At approximately 6:00 pm on June 18, the Williams Lake RCMP were called to the Wholesale Club in response to a theft.
A store employee attempted to apprehend three females for shoplifting. Upon apprehending one female, she attempted to escape by attacking the employee with a knife.
The employee was not harmed however all three females escaped.
A police dog was brought to the scene and a short while later, a female youth was found hiding several blocks away.
The RCMP are continuing their investigation and are looking for the other two females who are known to police.
