A 32-year-old male is in custody after an arrest at Boitanio Mall early Thursday.
At approximately 5 a.m. the Williams Lake RCMP responded to an alarm at the mall where the suspect was believed to still be inside.
"Officers made an immediate patrol to the mall and found one of the main doors at the front of the mall unlocked," Sgt. Rick LeBeuf said in a press release.
When the police entered the mall they located a male inside in the process of putting bags on his back who appeared to be leaving.
He was arrested without incident and in possession of several items taken from at least two stores located in the mall.
The male is well-known to police, the RCMP said.
