Interested parties wishing to make an oral presentation at the closing remarks session for the New Prosperity Mine have until Aug. 21.

Interested parties wishing to make an oral presentation at the closing remarks session for the New Prosperity Mine have until Aug. 21 to apply.

"If you wish to make an oral presentation at the closing remarks session on Aug. 23 you must register with the Panel Secretariat no later than Aug. 21 with a written outline of your closing remarks and an indication of how much time you would like for presenting your closing remarks," said Livain Michaud, panel manager for the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.

"The panel will allocate time for closing remarks based on the breadth of the issues to be presented, the total speaking time requested and the time available."

Michaud said interested parties who choose not to present their closing remarks orally may file written closing remarks with the panel. These remarks must be submitted no later than the start of the closing remarks session on Aug. 23 at CJ's Southwestern Grill in Williams Lake.

The closing remarks session runs from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

"Closing remarks should summarize the interested party's perspective on the hearing record and recommendations to the panel and must not be used to present new information," he said.

The public hearing procedures are available online at www.ceaa.gc.ca/050/documents/p63928/86240E.pdf.
