The Williams Lake Fire Department, RCMP, BC Hydro and Fortis responded quickly Thursday to a house fire in the 500 block of Western Avenue that started in the kitchen.
No one was injured, however one of the residents who was at the scene, left to go find one of her dogs — a brown Pit Bull cross — who had taken off in all the excitement.
Cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
