CRD to host online wildfire consultation via Facebook Live tonight

Tune in to the CRD’s Emergency Operation Centre Facebook page between 6:30 and 8 p.m. tonight

The Cariboo Regional District is hosting a wildfire consultation in a very different format tonight — via Facebook Live.

Between 6:30 and 8 p.m. tonight (Monday, Nov. 27) people are invited to tune into the CRD’s Emergency Operations Centre Facebook page to give feedback on this summer’s wildfire response, as well as what needs you might have in recovery.

For those who missed any of the previous wildfire community consultations, this provides a way for you to give feedback from the comfort of your own home.

For those who have been to previous meetings and have more to add the online format and presentation will be similar to the in-person meetings and will be used as part of the same report.

Attending the online meeting will be the Recovery Manager, the Communications Manager and the Emergency Operations Centre Director and will be hosted by Tim Conrad of Butterfly Effect Communications.

It will include discussion on various topics including communications, the order and alert process, permits and others, that viewers may suggest.
