The Cariboo Regional District is bringing seven resolutions to the Union of B.C. Municipalities meeting this week.
The resolutions include: a tourist accommodation tax relief, one addressing the treatment of noxious weeds that would give regional districts the same authority as municipalities to control undesirable plant species; a regulation of sale of plants/seeds to develop a strategy to prohibit the sale of invasive plant species and their seeds; a resolution addressing high speed Internet/cellphone coverage asking the provincial and federal governments to move towards ensuring the availability of high speed internet and cell phone service to every Canadian community, a resolution regarding public telephone access, one addressing B.C. Hydro and another agriculture policy.
