The Williams Lake RCMP are advising that counterfeit $50 bills are being circulated in Williams Lake.
A financial institution in the city reported to police that it received a counterfeit $50 note.
Police say the note is of poor quality; it looks very weathered, shorter than a genuine note, and the metallic strip is of poor quality.
People are advised to take a second look at such notes before accepting them.
